Childcare Center

To teach is to touch a life forever
Our mission at the Ossipee Concerned Citizens Childcare Center program is to provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children (13 months old to 12 years old). Our focus is to provide an encouraging educational experience, Promoting Social, Emotional, Physical, and Cognitive Development. We provide evaluation screenings using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire for our toddlers and preschoolers. We are committed to the families we serve.
Our Programs
Toddler Program
This program is for children 13 months to 3 years old. By this time, toddlers are making leaps and bounds with their learning. They are striving for independence and beginning to develop more motor skills. Our teachers will provide age appropriate activities including (but not limited to): art time, circle time with songs, story time, sensory activities, etc.
School-Age Program
This is for children 6 years old to 12 years old. During the school year, our center will provide before and after care. They will have time for age appropriate activities along with breakfast before bus pick up in the mornings. In the afternoons, they will be given an afternoon snack, reading/homework time, and activities including (but not limited to); art, science, journaling, games and free play. We also provide care for delayed openings and vacation days.
Pre-School Program
This program starts in September and ends in June for children 3 to 5 years old. This program will focus more on extended periods of learning now that children this age have longer attention spans. The curriculum will focus on skills that include colors, shapes, letters and numbers. They will have the ability to explore their world when playing outside (weather permitting) and through art or sensory activities.
Summer Program
This program is for ages 3 - 12 years old and runs from June to August. The children at the center have inside and outside activities daily. There will be a Beach Day and Field Trip Day during each week (lunches from home are required on these two days). Be sure to sign all forms and check your packing list!
The Childcare Center is also part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The CACFP assists our program by providing every child two healthy snacks (morning and afternoon) and a balanced meal for lunch daily.
