OSSIPEE SITE

Ossipee Concerned Citizens, Inc. (OCC) proudly provides Meals on Wheels to residents of Southern Carroll County, ensuring that seniors and individuals in need receive nutritious meals delivered to their homes. In addition, we offer Congregate Meals Monday through Friday, providing a welcoming space for community members to enjoy a healthy meal and connect with others. Our mission is to support the well-being of our elderly and disabled neighbors through quality nutrition and compassionate service.

MOULTONBOROUGH SITE

In 2004, we had the honor to open a satellite program for Ossipee Concerned Citizens, Inc. (OCC), located in Moultonborough (at the Moultonborough Function Hall), to offer congregate meals and Meals on Wheels to residents of Moultonborough and Sandwich. Our Moultonborough site operates Monday through Thursday, ensuring our community members receive the support they deserve. Operating under OCC's 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, we are all part of one organization dedicated to serving the elderly and disabled. As the contract-holding organization, OCC is responsible for all aspects of the program, including meal preparation, elderly nutrition services, staffing, equipment, food, and utilities. Our mission remains clear: no senior goes hungry.

SANDWICH BENZ CENTER AND TAMWORTH UNION HALL 

Thanks to the support of our neighboring towns of Sandwich and Tamworth, and an army of amazing volunteers, we are able to serve Congregate Meals every Wednesday at the Sandwich Benz Center (year-round), providing a warm and welcoming space for community members to gather and enjoy a nutritious meal together. Additionally, we offer Congregate Meals at the Tamworth Union Hall seasonally on Tuesdays during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months, giving residents the opportunity to connect over a delicious meal while the site is open. Both partnerships are part of our commitment to fostering community and ensuring that no senior goes hungry. 

THE BENEFITS OF THE MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM

Extensive research underscores the significant benefits of home-delivered meal programs. These initiatives not only enhance diet quality and increase nutrient intake but also mitigate food insecurity and contribute to an overall improvement in the recipients' quality of life. Moreover, such programs yield cost savings for government entities by reducing the reliance on costly healthcare services such as hospitals and nursing homes, thereby fostering a more sustainable and efficient community support system.

Ossipee Concerned Citizens Child Care Center

Our mission at the Ossipee Concerned Citizens Childcare Center is to provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children ages 13 months to 12 years. Our focus is to provide an encouraging educational experience, Promoting Social, Emotional, Physical, and Cognitive Development. We offer evaluation screenings using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire for our toddlers and preschoolers. We are committed to the families we serve.
